Another Year Has Passed Without You

We are leaving another year behind us…

We are experiencing the spiritual peace of having fulfilled our father’s will with the Foundation we established in memory of our father, the late Salih Tatlıcı, who dedicated his life to charity and was always with those in need with his unconditional love and compassion.

We remember with respect, love, and longing our dear husband and father, Salih Tatlıcı, whom we have kept and will keep alive in our hearts since 22 February 2009, when he left us in great pain.

As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, our goal in 2023 will be to continue our charity work for the disabled, the environment, education, culture, stray animals, war victims, and those who are always waiting for help, such as providing water to Africa.

After the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the war between Ukraine and Russia, which started in 2022 and is still going on, has again deprived many people of their lives, left them homeless and displaced, and caused food and energy shortages even in countries not related to the war.

As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, we sincerely wish that 2023 will be a beautiful year in which love, peace, and tranquility will prevail for all people and living creatures, in which incurable diseases and the evils that negatively affect humanity and all living creatures in our country and all over the world will come to an end.

Happy New Year!

We Donated for Cats and Dogs in Need in Ukraine

As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, we donated to the organization “HAPPY PAW,” which works for cats and dogs in need in Ukraine and has made great efforts in the international arena to contribute to their well-being and safety since the beginning of February 2012. Helping homeless cats and dogs by caring about their fate is a humanitarian duty As the Foundation, we have previously provided aid to the victims of war in Ukraine. This time, we supported HAPPY PAW, an international organization that strives for animals in need in Ukraine and cares about the fate of homeless cats and dogs, to provide dry food aid to cats and dogs in distress in the war zone.” stated regarding the donation, Uğur Tatlıcı, Executive Board Member of our Foundation. About “Happy Paw” HAPPY PAW is the global animal welfare organization for animals under direct human influence, which rescues and protects suffering, needy animals for animals. The charity way of Happy Paw began with the adoption of shelters in Ukraine in 2012 and eventually evolved into numerous projects and initiatives. They started to promote the humane treatment of stray animals among students. With the search system they established, they worked to bring back lost and found pets to home. Happy Paw spread all over Ukraine. The project “Bioethics” has expanded its operations in Ukraine.

Support from the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation to the Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled (BEDD)

As it is known, International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an international awareness day celebrated by the United Nations on 3 December every year since 1992. Our Foundation made a donation to BEDD (the Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled), which has gained a respectable place with its activities aimed at removing the obstacles to the participation of our citizens with disabilities in social life in our country. On this occasion, a certificate of appreciation was presented by the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Kemal Demirel.

We are with all individuals with disabilities who hold on to life with the joy of living.

“International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a significant awareness project in terms of drawing attention to the fact that different obstacles are not actually obstacles in many respects, showing that each obstacle has many different problems in itself, and focusing on issues that target the contributions and success of persons with disabilities. Stating that we stand by our brothers, who work with determination and give strength to all of us with their determined stances and efforts, on the occasion of today, we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on behalf of our Foundation and wish them a happy and peaceful life with their families.” said regarding the donation, Uğur Tatlıcı, Executive Board Member of our Foundation.

The Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled (BEDD) with its History of Nearly 30 Years

BEDD was established on July 20, 1993, as a mutual aid association to provide social solidarity by contributing to the education and health needs of all citizens of the Republic of Turkey with orthopedic disabilities. It aims to provide the necessary support for citizens with disabilities, regardless of religion, language, race, region, and gender, and has become a leading association in Turkey in breaking down barriers with its work. BEDD aims to serve more citizens with disabilities as one of Turkey’s most well-known and trusted first twenty non-governmental organizations. It focuses on providing treatment, assistance, and education opportunities to children and youth with physical disabilities and pioneers their active participation in social life by raising the awareness of their families and society in general. Having struggled with financial difficulties in the days it was founded, the BEDD today delivers aid to an average of 5,000 disabled people a year. The hope has never died at the BEDD, and the service has not been interrupted. The association, which is getting stronger day by day with the support of its friends and donors, continues its activities to remove the obstacles.
