SCHOLARSHIP

ST Foundation Scholarship

The Salih Tatlıcı Foundation offers scholarships to successful undergraduate students at a state or private university with insufficient financial means within the quota, amount, and duration to be determined each year.

Candidates must be:

1) A citizen of the Republic of Turkey

2) With Insufficient Financial Opportunities
To be a candidate for the Foundation Scholarship, it is essential that the student acknowledges and declares that his/her financial means are insufficient.
For this, each candidate must fully document the property and income status of his/her family and himself/herself.

3) With a good academic record
Foundation scholarships are given to new students enrolled in the preparatory class and first-year or later-year students at the undergraduate level.
Those who enroll in the first-year after the preparatory class are deemed later-year students.
The merit-based requirements for being granted the scholarship and its continuance are given below.
For later-year students, the candidate must maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) out of 4 in the scaled grading system and does not have 3 or more retaken courses from the previous year or semester in the regular education program.

4) 25 years old or younger
The scholarship is granted to candidates who have not completed the age of 25 as of the application date.

In principle, Foundation Scholarships are given for 9 months a year in a row, starting in October. Scholarships are not paid in July, August, and September.

Unless there is an extraordinary reduction in the Foundation’s budget potential, the student, whose success is determined according to the provisions of this bylaws and who continues to be so, continues receiving the scholarship until he/she graduates without the need for an application every year.

For undergraduate students, scholarships are given for a maximum of 4 years for undergraduate education; or, for 5 years for students who receive the scholarship starting from the preparatory class.

Foundation Management reserves the right to terminate the scholarship at any stage of the process.

Foundation scholarships will be applied through the salihtatlicifoundation.org website.

Every willing student who meets the above-mentioned candidacy requirements uploads his/her student certificate, photograph, transcript, and personal information to the website, salihtatlicifoundation.org, in its entirity.

The documents that must be attached to the Student Application Form are as follows:

b) A copy of student selection and placement exam result (OSYM Result Document), as a certificate of achievement, and if necessary, a document obtained from the registrar’s office of the university that shows the ranking in university entrance for applicants who recently started their undergraduate program.

c) For scholarship candidates who are in their later years in undergraduate education, a document approved by the university showing the grades received by the candidate as of the last academic year or semester completed, and the overall grade point average of all courses, as a certificate of achievement.

d) In addition to these documents, registry of deeds, mother A4/ father A4 certificate, certificate of martyrdom (not compulsory), lease agreement, civil registry certificate with events, and certificate of disability (not compulsory) must be presented during the interview.

The scholarship is granted to the student by the Foundation’s Management.

The Foundation’s Management examines the status of the applicants; if it deems necessary, it requests additional information and documents, conducts an interview, and makes the final decision.
