Let This Song Be Ours!

Nurten Tatlıcı, the wife of deceased businessman Salih Tatlıcı, and their son Uğur Tatlıcı pioneered and supported the “Let This Song Be Ours” project in order to raise awareness about removing the obstacles in front of our citizens with disabilities.

Uğur Tatlıcı: “I have always believed that music feeds people’s good feelings and thoughts.”

Uğur Tatlıcı, who advanced the idea for the “Let This Song Be Ours” project, directed it, and contributed significantly to its realization, both financially and emotionally, said the following:

In his last will, my late father Salih Tatlıcı’s demanded we help people. At every opportunity, my mother and I support organizations that approach the problems of our citizens with disabilities and in need with sensitivity and develop solutions and social responsibility projects in this direction. With the experience we gained from these connections, we aimed to create a new social responsibility project.

This is how the project “Let This Song Be Ours” came to be. Everyone with or without disabilities has a beautiful song to sing, and we wanted to sing these songs together and raise awareness.

The project received tremendous support from different segments of society. We received excellent support, especially from the world of media, from our famous artists and athletes. I thank them all very much. They gave up their work and rushed to help, and they did not spare their support. We thank them all.

We have been working for more than 1 year on this project that we have put a lot of effort into. We shot many scenes in different places with our citizens with disabilities, famous artists, and athletes.

I hope our “Let This Song Be Ours” project, which we created for our citizens with disabilities, will make them more and more strong, and our artists, athletes, and all sensitive citizens will continue to support us in this project.

The donations and aid projects mentioned here were made with the personal income of the founders of our Foundation, Nurten Tatlıcı and her son Uğur Tatlıcı, in memory of the late Salih Tatlıcı, the benevolent person whose name continues to live on through our Foundation and whom they bid farewell in journey to eternity in 2009.
