On the occasion of Father’s Day, as a foundation, we made a donation to the international NGO “Save the Children”, which has been defending the rights and interests of children worldwide for 100 years, prioritizing the most vulnerable children.
Regarding the donation, our Foundation received a thank you letter from the mentioned organization.
We Believe Every Child Deserves a Future
Regarding the donation, Uğur Tatlıcı, a Member of our Foundation’s Board of Directors, stated: “Our fathers, who hold a very special place in our lives, always protect and watch over us with their endless compassion, regardless of distances, teach us everything they know, and hold our hands as we step into life, are our most precious assets. Around the world, many children start life at a disadvantage because of who they are and where they come from. Millions of children die from preventable causes; they face poverty, violence, disease, and hunger. They are caught in war zones and disasters they did nothing to create. And they are deprived of the education and other basic rights they are owed. This year, on the occasion of Father’s Day, as a Foundation, we made a donation to the ‘Save the Children’ foundation to help children regardless of their gender, nationality, ethnicity, religious status, beliefs, disabilities, age, or sexual orientation.”
Save the Children Foundation
A hundred years ago, a brave woman named Eglantyne Jebb founded “Save the Children” in response to the terrible suffering children faced as a result of war. Equipped with ideas ahead of her time, Eglantyne Jebb declared that all children should have rights, changing the course of history. This revolutionary idea sparked a global movement aimed at making the world a better place for children. It also helped shape the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Many children around the world start life at a disadvantage because of who they are and where they come from. Millions of children die from preventable causes; they face poverty, violence, disease, and hunger. They are caught in war zones and disasters they did nothing to create. And they are deprived of the education and other basic rights they are owed. All children deserve better. Prioritizing the most vulnerable children, the organization defends the rights and interests of children worldwide. With 25,000 dedicated staff in 113 countries, they respond to major emergencies, offer innovative development programs, and ensure children’s voices are heard through campaigns to build a better future for and with children.
