BEDD was founded on 20 July 1993 as a charity association in order to provide social solidarity by contributing to the education and health needs of all orthopedically disabled citizens of the Republic of Turkey. BEDD, which struggled with financial impossibilities in the days of its establishment, today provides assistance to an average of 5,000 disabled people in need annually. The light has never been extinguished in BEDD and the service has never been interrupted. The association, which is getting stronger day by day with the support of its friends of heart and donors, continues its activities to remove obstacles.

As it is known, International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an international awareness day celebrated by the United Nations on 3 December every year since 1992. On this occasion, a certificate of appreciation was presented by the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Kemal Demirel.

We are with all individuals with disabilities who hold on to life with the joy of living.

“International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a significant awareness project in terms of drawing attention to the fact that different obstacles are not actually obstacles in many respects, showing that each obstacle has many different problems in itself, and focusing on issues that target the contributions and success of persons with disabilities. Stating that we stand by our brothers, who work with determination and give strength to all of us with their determined stances and efforts, on the occasion of today, we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on behalf of our Foundation and wish them a happy and peaceful life with their families.” said regarding the donation, Uğur Tatlıcı, Executive Board Member of our Foundation.
