As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, we have donated to “ANIMAL AID“, which is one of the largest animal rights groups in the UK and peacefully campaigns against animal abuse. A certificate of appreciation was presented to our Foundation by the organization regarding the donation.

“Animal Abuse Should Be Struggled Against and A Cruelty-Free Lifestyle Should Be Encouraged”

Regarding the donation Uğur Tatlıcı, Executive Board Member of our Foundation, said: “Animals should no longer be harmed or exploited for human interests and should be allowed to live their lives in peace. All people should recognize and respect the rights of animals and these rights should be protected by law. All animals, regardless of their species, should enjoy fundamental rights to life and liberty. This world belongs to all of us. As the Foundation, we also felt it our duty to donate to “ANIMAL AID”, an organization that struggles against animal abuse and works towards promoting a cruelty-free lifestyle for all animals.”

About “ANIMAL AID”

ANIMAL AID is one of the world’s long-established animal rights groups, founded in the UK in 1977. As this is a very long-term vision that will take decades to achieve, as well as working towards it, ANIMAL AID takes a pragmatic approach, campaigning for measures that will help to reduce animal suffering in the meantime. In practice, much of its work is about bringing the truth about animal exploitation to the public’s attention and contributing both to the realization of this vision and to taking measures that will help to reduce animal suffering in the short term.

Support to Education is Our First Priority

Our parents are the most valuable assets we can have in this world. In our traditions, our fathers are described as the pillars of our homes. It is challenging for the family to survive without a father. The presence of the father gives children confidence, and they feel stronger. I, too, commemorate my late father, Salih Tatlıcı, whose absence I have always felt for 13 years, with great longing and compassion. We are thrilled to have contributed to our Darüşşafaka, which sets an example for institutions, the first well-established non-governmental organization in the field of education in our country, with its 158-year history, which raises children who have lost their parents at a young age, who cannot receive a good education due to lack of financial means, and brings them to life, providing equal opportunities, undertaking such a sacred duty, and adopting the principle of preserving the traditions, on the occasion of ‘Father’s Day’ Uğur Tatlıcı saidregarding the donation.
