Our foundation made a donation to the United Nations Human Rights Office on the occasion of the “International Day for Peaceful Coexistence,” celebrated worldwide on January 28th each year. This donation recognizes the commitment to building a world where dialogue prevails over conflict, respect triumphs over hatred, and unity surpasses division; a world where differences are overcome and problems are solved together; and a world where the rights of all people are protected and advanced globally. The United Nations has presented our foundation with a certificate of appreciation for this donation.
World Peace Can Be Achieved Through Understanding.
Regarding the donation, Uğur Tatlıcı, Executive Board Member of our Foundation, stated: “Peace is more than the absence of war; it is the ability to live together despite our differences in gender, race, language, religion, or culture, and to protect the justice and human rights that make this coexistence possible. This is a continuous process and a long-term goal, requiring the constant care, vigilance, and active participation of everyone. With the rise of global instability and conflict, International Day for Peaceful Coexistence serves as a platform to raise awareness about diverse cultures, values, lifestyles, and beliefs, and to highlight the role of education in promoting tolerance. On this occasion, we, as a Foundation, have made a donation to the United Nations Office for Human Rights.”

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently comprising 193 Member States, the UN’s work is guided by the aims and principles set forth in its Charter. Over the years, the UN has evolved to keep pace with a rapidly changing world. However, one thing remains the same: it continues to be the only place where all nations of the world can come together, discuss common problems, and find common solutions that benefit all of humanity.
