As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, we made a donation to the organization called “ORCA” (Organization for Respect and Care for Animals), which works for animals in need all over the world and makes great efforts internationally to contribute to their well-being and safety.
Humans Must Provide Animals They Feed with Conditions Suitable for Their Needs.
Regarding the donation, Uğur Tatlıcı, Executive Board Member of our Foundation stated:
“Everyone has the right to the protection of nature and the sustainable use of natural resources, and animals should live a life free from the pain, suffering, and stress that humans can inflict upon them. Nature conservation, animal welfare, and human life are so interconnected that they cannot be considered separately. Humans must provide animals they feed with conditions suitable for their needs. Otherwise, they should not feed them. Humans have a moral obligation and responsibility to provide current and future generations with the natural values that make life on Earth possible. It is necessary to support efforts to protect all animals worldwide. As a foundation, we have supported ORCA, an international organization that works to help animals in need.”
Organization for Respect and Care for Animals (ORCA)
ORCA is a civil society organization that helps people in Serbia and the Western Balkans to care for the nature and welfare of animals in order to ensure their personal, economic, and social development. Its mission is public advocacy, research, education, and monitoring the implementation of policies and regulations. ORCA serves as a leading guide and partner for citizens and institutions in the Western Balkans in the fields of animal welfare and nature conservation. It works to ensure the utmost care is taken to protect nature, specifically animal welfare, in all activities related to agriculture, fishing, transportation, trade, research, and technological development, as well as in other areas that may directly or indirectly impact nature or animal welfare. Its work is primarily focused on systematically addressing issues related to nature conservation and animal welfare. By maintaining constant communication with citizens, it transforms identified issues into concrete public advocacy initiatives and campaigns.
