Happy Diwali Festival of the Hindu World

The Diwali festival represents the triumph of good over evil, knowledge over ignorance and light over darkness. Every lamp lit is a proof of the superiority of good over evil. Everyone wishes each other to bring abundance and prosperity to their homes.

On this occasion, Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, which stands at an equal distance to all religions and beliefs, wishes a happy Diwali to more than one billion Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists celebrating all over the world.

DIWALI

Diwali is an India-based Hindu national festival, meaning “light festival”, the beginning of which falls on the 13th day of the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin, the beginning of the dark fortnight. In addition to its theological meaning, it refers to the celebration of the new year. It usually lasts five (or six in some parts of India) days and is celebrated during the Hindu lunar-solar month of Kartika (mid-October to mid-November).

The five-day festival originated in the Indian subcontinent and is mentioned in early Sanskrit texts.

We Celebrate Mother’s Day with All Mothers Who Beautify Our World

Happy “Mother’s Day” to all mothers who give us strength and support with their presence, who represent self-sacrifice, love, and sensitivity in every aspect of our lives and who are the architects of our future.

On this occasion, Salih Tatlıcı Foundation has donated to the Mehmetçik Foundation, which always stands by the precious mothers of our martyred noncoms and soldiers and their wives with children on Mother’s Day every year, materially and spiritually.

The Late Salih Tatlıcı Was Commemorated On His 14th Death Anniversary

My dear husband, my beloved father; we are filled with the same pain, sadness, and longing on the 14th anniversary as we were on the first day of his absence.

This year, we are also experiencing another pain as a country. On 6 February 2023, we feel great sorrow for our citizens who lost their lives, were injured, and lost their homes in the great earthquake that occurred in Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş and in its 10 surrounding provinces.

As the “Salih Tatlıcı Foundation”, which we established to keep his name alive; We continue to provide in-kind and financial aid to the governmental and non-governmental organizations that rush to the help of our citizens with great devotion in order to help our state a little to bind up the wounds of our citizens.

You will live forever in our hearts with your honorable, virtuous, and moral stance in life.

Rest in peace, may your place be in heaven.

Another Year Has Passed Without You

We are leaving another year behind us…

We are experiencing the spiritual peace of having fulfilled our father’s will with the Foundation we established in memory of our father, the late Salih Tatlıcı, who dedicated his life to charity and was always with those in need with his unconditional love and compassion.

We remember with respect, love, and longing our dear husband and father, Salih Tatlıcı, whom we have kept and will keep alive in our hearts since 22 February 2009, when he left us in great pain.

As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, our goal in 2023 will be to continue our charity work for the disabled, the environment, education, culture, stray animals, war victims, and those who are always waiting for help, such as providing water to Africa.

After the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the war between Ukraine and Russia, which started in 2022 and is still going on, has again deprived many people of their lives, left them homeless and displaced, and caused food and energy shortages even in countries not related to the war.

As the Salih Tatlıcı Foundation, we sincerely wish that 2023 will be a beautiful year in which love, peace, and tranquility will prevail for all people and living creatures, in which incurable diseases and the evils that negatively affect humanity and all living creatures in our country and all over the world will come to an end.

Happy New Year!

We Say NO!! to Violence Against Women

On November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we say NO..! to violence against women.

Our women are the most precious ones who deserve to be loved and respected.

Woman means sacrifice, love, labor, and the foundation of the family.

Violence against women is a betrayal of humanity!

Our women deserve a life worthy of human dignity, free from violence, and equal in a safer world today and every day. We wish for a life where we will not be forced to say no to violence against women, with the hope that our women, the people who shape the future, can live in a more fair, peaceful, secure and peaceful world, and we can remove November 25 from our calendars…

November 25 of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

In 1999, the United Nations General Assembly declared November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The reason why this day is designated as November 25 is based on an event that took place in the Dominican Republic in 1960. Three sisters named Mirabal Sisters, known for their opposition to Rafael Trujillo, who ruled the country with a dictatorship, had been brutally murdered by being strangled and beaten, days after Trujillo said: “There are two dangers in the country: the Church and the Mirabal Sisters.”

We Would Like to Thank Our Readers and Heartfelt Friends

Dear Friends;

We carefully read all the letters and comments that were sent to our website.

Thank you very much for your interest.

Some of our readers, who sent messages via the contact form of our website, stated that they believed that the announcement of the donations was for a “show off.”

As is known, in democratic societies, everyone is free to express their opinion freely— as long as it does not contain insults. We welcome these comments. However, in order to avoid misunderstandings, we deemed appropriate to bring an explanation on this issue:

Pursuant to our much beloved, esteemed, benevolent deceased Salih Tatlıcı’s will to “help people,” Nurten and Uğur Tatlıcı have done and continue to do much more than the charitable works featured on this website for years.

Nurten and Uğur Tatlıcı, who have always felt the importance of solidarity and cooperation in our customs and traditions by their heart, have always strived to support all actions especially, aimed at the education of girls, protecting the nature, people with disabilities and anyone in need of help, the children who are victims of war, and the elderly, regardless of nationality, religion, race or geographical region. They will continue to lend their helping hands as a duty of humanity.

The announcements on this website are only some of the donations made by Nurten and Uğur Tatlıcı.

The sole purpose of publishing these announcements is to encourage our readers to do charitable works and to encourage them to give more help to such institutions, each of which is valuable to all people in need of help, without any discrimination, both in our country and all over the world.

As a matter of fact, as we read from some of the thank-you letters we received, we are very pleased to observe that some of our readers, who explore and watch the institutions we donate to, donate to the same institutions.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our readers and heartfelt friends.

We respectfully present it.
